RAYMOND, N.H. (AP) - A 27-year-old Massachusetts man is accused of stabbing another man during a party at a campground in New Hampshire.

Police on Monday announced charges against Scott Bennett of Salisbury, Massachusetts.

Authorities say the stabbing happened early Saturday at Pine Acres Resort in Raymond.

When officers arrived on the scene they say they found Bennett being strained by other campers.

Police say he had become argumentative during a party at the campsite. At one point they say he pulled out a pocket knife and began stabbing another man in the knee. The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Bennett faces assault charges, and is being held on $50,000 cash bail pending his arraignment. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
