SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) - The bodies of two college students who were swept into Lake Michigan from a pier in eastern Wisconsin have been recovered.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office says a dive team found the bodies of 21-year-old Kurt Ahonen, of Suamico (soo-AH’-mih-koh), and 22-year-old Adam Laluzerne, of Sheboygan, in the lake late Monday.

Authorities say the two St. Norbert College students and three other friends were in Sheboygan Sunday afternoon when four of them walked onto the pier to talk to some fishermen. High waves washed Ahonen, Laluzerne and a third friend into the water. The U.S. Coast Guard rescued 22-year-old Dylan Abeyta-Bedecker, but the other two couldn’t immediately be found.

A prayer service was held Monday afternoon at St. Norbert College in De Pere.
