IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) - Officials say about 52,000 customers in southeast Idaho were without power for several hours.

Rocky Mountain Power officials say the outage happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday and was affecting customers in Idaho Falls and surrounding areas. Officials posted on their website that power had been brought back within a few hours.

Crews had been sent to investigate the outage including reports of a fire near the Goshen substation near the town of Shelley.

The cause of the outage was unclear.
