LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) - Customs officials say $90,000 worth of cocaine was found in a Jamaican’s woman’s suitcase at BWI airport.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a news release that officers found nearly 3 pounds of cocaine in the bottom of a suitcase Monday afternoon. The agency says officers noticed that the suitcase was unusually thick and saw the cocaine during an x-ray scan.

Officers say 30-year-old Trudian James of Hanover Parish, Jamaica, was turned over the Maryland State Police. Online court records show James has been charged with several drug offenses.

Court records do not list a lawyer for James.
