LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Gov. Asa Hutchinson has ordered that the United States flags and the Arkansas state flag to be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of the shootings of police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Hutchinson’s order issued Tuesday follows a presidential proclamation.

Flags on all Arkansas public buildings and grounds are to be flown at half-staff until sunset Friday.

Three Baton Rouge police officers were killed in the shooting on Sunday.

Hutchinson called the killings “appalling” and asked for prayers to help unify the nation.
