CHESTERFIELD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire authorities plan to charge a 23-year-old man with killing his father in Chesterfield.

Sixty-four-year-old John Giandalone was found dead at his home July 13, and the attorney general’s office say he died of a deep neck wound.

His son, Peter Giandalone, was detained in South Carolina on Sunday in connection with an arrest warrant for theft. On Tuesday, authorities also issued an arrest warrant alleging he committed second-degree murder.

The younger Giandalone was expected to be returned to New Hampshire and appear in court Wednesday. It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
