DENVER (AP) - A backpack that investigators exploded at the Federal Center in Lakewood after a woman announced it contained a bomb held her birth certificate, driver’s license and tax and other documents.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/me2VvG ) the woman made the claim after walking up to one of the complex’s gates Monday. Investigators say she had a backpack with wires hanging out of it, but they later determined it was not a bomb.

Two buildings and a construction site were evacuated while the bomb squad responded. Nothing suspicious was found in the woman’s car, which was parked about a mile and a half from the facility.
