TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a bicyclist struck by a vehicle in Tucson last week has died from his injuries.

The victim of the July 11 crash has been identified as Roger Haar, a laboratory manager at the University of Arizona. He died at a hospital Monday.

Tucson police say in a news release that the 65-year-old had been headed south on his bike along a road when he stopped for a red light. After the light turned green, police say he entered the intersection and was struck by a westbound sedan that ran a red light.

Haar had been wearing a helmet and reflective vest.

The crash remains under investigation.

The head of UA’s physics department Sumit Mazumdar says Haar was set to retire next month after 25 years with the department.
