WOODHAVEN, Mich. (AP) - Dozens of birds and ducks have died at a creek in suburban Detroit.

WXYZ-TV (https://bit.ly/29BBzDp ) says the Michigan Department of Natural Resources picked up carcasses Friday to determine what happened along Marsh Creek in Woodhaven. The work could take a few weeks.

Some residents are keeping kids and pets away from the creek.

Nancy Chinavere says it’s “traumatic” to see dead ducks in such a beautiful setting.
