COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Columbus police say they’ve arrested 67 people in a prostitution sweep on the city’s west side.

The two-day operation included two dozen men arrested for soliciting prostitutes and 43 women on prostitution counts.

Police say one woman was arrested twice - once on Wednesday, then again the next day after she’d been released for medical reasons.

Police say another woman was wearing an ankle monitor when she was taken into custody.

Police say all prostitutes are screened to determine if they are victims of human trafficking.

Neighborhood concerns about the presence of prostitutes spurred the sweep.
