RENTON, Wash. (AP) - A 21-year-old Auburn worker suspected of sexually abusing a child at a Renton child care center is being held in a King County Jail.

The Seattle Times says (https://goo.gl/tlSs0X) bail was set at $15,000 Thursday. He is due in court again Tuesday.

According to a probable-cause statement, a 4-year-old told authorities the worker touched her inappropriately at The Orchards Child Care and Preschool when no other teachers were around.

The statement says the alleged abuse came to light after a parent of a different child reported to the center’s director that the worker allegedly stuck his tongue in that child’s mouth. The 21-year-old was then placed on administrative leave.

The director could not be reached for comment Friday night. No one answered the phone at the center Saturday morning.

The worker was booked into the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent for investigation of child molestation Wednesday.
