GILBERT, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say four people have been taken to hospitals after an unknown odor forced the brief evacuation of Gilbert Municipal Court.

Gilbert Fire and Rescue officials say six people reported suffering from nausea and headaches Wednesday afternoon, but two refused treatment.

Hazardous-material crews determined the odor was from a burned-out condenser in a drinking fountain.

The condenser is a component that cools the water.

Gilbert Municipal Court was evacuated around 3:30 p.m., but it was cleared by hazmat crews and reopened by 4 p.m.
