PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Lake Norden’s chance to be the honorary South Dakota capital for a day this month is approaching quickly.

Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s office says activities for the July 28 event will include a community social gathering.

Activities also include a Main Street walk and tours around town. Leaders will discuss the needs of the city with Daugaard at a roundtable lunch.

Lake Norden Mayor Jason Aho has said it’s good to bring the governor into the community to offer residents and businesses an opportunity to discuss important issues.
