SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Authorities say a San Antonio man has been charged with fatally stabbing one person with a box cutter and injuring two others earlier this month.

Thirty-year-old Joe Casanova was arrested early Tuesday morning. Casanova, charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault, remained in Bexar County jail Wednesday on $300,000 bond. Jail records didn’t list an attorney for him.

Andrew Arismendez died in the July 4 attack at a home. According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the other two men stabbed by Casanova said they and 37-year-old Arismendez were at the home to pick up a refrigerator.

One of the stabbing victims told police that Casanova showed up asking for cigarettes, then left and returned. The affidavit says Casanova didn’t give any signs that he was going to attack.
