FLINT, Mich. (AP) - A man who authorities say was fleeing from Michigan State Police in Flint when he caused a fatal crash has entered a plea agreement in the case.

The Flint Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2agtHvc ) Davonte Deshaun Grover pleaded no contest Tuesday to manslaughter in the June 2014 crash that killed 42-year-old Tiphanie Fayette Mayfield.

The agreement also included no contest pleas to 17 other charges stemming from the chase, including drug charges and disarming a police officer. A no contest plea isn’t an admission of guilt but is treated as such for sentencing.

Police say Grover smoked crack cocaine before a three-minute police pursuit that reached speeds upward of 120 mph on residential streets. According to court testimony, speeds were roughly 80 mph when Grover crashed into the car driven by Mayfield.
