LENOX, N.Y. (AP) - A central New York man is accused of stealing more than $740,000 from the farm equipment company he has worked for since 1986.

Fifty-four-year-old Kevin Howe has been charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing money from White’s Farm Supply in Lennox, where he worked as the company’s comptroller.

State police say the Syracuse man had been writing checks to himself and then depositing them into his personal account since 2009.

He’s being held at the Madison County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bail. It’s unclear if he has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
