ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say several people were injured after part of a ceiling fell down at a suburban Detroit bar.

Crews responded Tuesday night to Muldoon’s in Rochester Hills to a report of a roof collapse. Authorities say at least three people were taken to the hospital for treatment of head injuries and cuts while a few more had lesser injuries.

Nancy Butty, Rochester Hills fire and life safety educator, tells The Detroit News about 25 people were at the bar at the time. They all got out by the time that rescuers arrived. Butty says that a “decorated facade” over the bar came loose and fell.

Oakland County sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Kramer tells WWJ-AM that authorities have ruled out a structural problem, but an engineer was called as a precaution.
