LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed a new leader of Michigan’s Talent Investment Agency, which houses workforce development and unemployment insurance offices.

Wanda Stokes was named director of the agency Wednesday. She comes from her current position as a deputy director of the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

The current director of the Talent Investment Agency, Stephanie Comai, returns to the licensing department, where she previously was a deputy director. She will join the leadership team of Shelly Edgerton, who became LARA director in April.

In December 2014, Snyder tapped Comai to lead the TIA, which he created as part of a reorganization of Michigan’s economic growth and job training efforts.

Snyder says “we are blessed to have two strong leaders” in Stokes and Comai.
