OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - St. Bonaventure basketball forward Derrick Woods has informed the team of his intention to transfer to another school.

Woods averaged 3.5 points and 2.4 rebounds in starting 22 of 30 games during his sophomore season last year. He joins Jordan Tyson in becoming the second forward to leave the Bonnies this offseason.

The school confirmed Woods’ pending departure on Wednesday, a day after the player announced the decision on his Twitter account. Woods is listed at 6-foot-9 and is from Trenton, New Jersey.

In a statement released by the school, coach Mark Schmidt said he is disappointed in Woods’ decision, but wishes the player the best.
