KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (12-6)

New Faces: QB Nick Foles, OT Mitch Schwartz, WR Tyreek Hill, OL Parker Ehinger, DL Chris Jones.

Important Losses: FS Husain Abdullah, SS Tyvon Branch, OG Jeff Allen, OT Donald Stephenson, QB Chase Daniel.

Strengths: Defense returns mostly intact from last year, though loss of Pro Bowl LB Justin Houston (ACL surgery) for start of season will hurt. Running game will be strength of offense with RB Jamaal Charles back from his ACL surgery and duo of Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware back from solid season.

Weaknesses: Pass rush could be weakness until Houston returns, with aging LB Tamba Hali and disappointing 2014 first-round pick Dee Ford starting. Passing game remains work in progress outside WR Jeremy Maclin and TE Travis Kelce.

Fantasy Players to Watch: Charles, Maclin, Kelce, Ware, Chiefs’ defense.

Expectations: Chiefs expect to contend for AFC West title after winning first playoff game in more than two decades last season. But even second straight year in playoffs would be sign that coach Andy Reid and general manager John Dorsey have built team that can sustain success.
