PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say a truck driver was injured after his semi collided with a train east of Echo, Oregon.

The East Oregonian reports (https://bit.ly/2ajfw8x ) an ambulance took the man to the hospital after he complained of head, neck and leg pain.

Railroad employees at scene Wednesday said the train pulling 15 cars on its way to Pendleton sounded its horn, but couldn’t stop in time. The truck was carrying wheat.

Cell phone service is scarce in the area, and the call for help came via radio.
