SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (AP) - A fast-moving wildfire has burned 125 acres of brush on the side of a freeway north of Los Angeles.

The blaze erupted shortly after 2 p.m. Friday near State Highway 14 in Santa Clarita.

No homes are threatened but several freeway lanes are closed

The area is hilly and full of bone-dry brush. A water-dropping helicopter and about 200 firefighters are battling the flames.

Winds of 10 to 15 mph are pushing the blaze northeast into the Angeles National Forest.
