WAXAHACHIE, Texas (AP) - Four Dallas teenagers have been charged with stealing firearms after a truck smashed through a wall at a North Texas gun store.

Waxahachie (wahks-uh-HA’-chee) police on Thursday announced the arrests in the July 10 thefts from the Shooter’s Edge gun shop. The suspects are charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.

Investigators say a stolen truck was used to crash into the wall at a time when the store was closed.

A gaping hole was left in the side of the business, located about 30 miles south of Dallas, as thieves stole a number of firearms - including several rifles. The pickup was later found abandoned.

Police say three handguns have been recovered.

A notice Friday on the Shooter’s Edge website says the store was closed until further notice.
