RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A bronze bust of a former Rapid City Chamber of Commerce board chairman valued at $10,000 remains missing.

The Rapid City Journal (https://bit.ly/29SYEkH) reports that the bust of Ep Howe was stolen from the chamber’s board room weeks ago.

Julie Jensen is executive director of the Rapid City Convention and Visitors Bureau. She says there haven’t been any leads in the investigation of the theft.

The bust was kept behind a locked door. Jensen says it’s heavy and was fastened to a wooden pedestal.

Howe was chairman of the board in 1963, and he’s known for working with nearby Ellsworth Air Force Base.
