BOSTON (AP) - Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has surpassed her former rival Bernie Sanders in fundraising in Massachusetts.

As of the end of June, Clinton had raised nearly $8.6 million from Bay State supporters compared to the $7.6 million raised by Sanders.

Clinton will formally accept the nomination of her party at the Democratic National Convention next week in Philadelphia.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has also upped his fundraising game in Massachusetts.

According to campaign finance reports, as of the end of June, Trump reported collecting more than $257,000 from supporters in Massachusetts. That’s more than double the $105,000 he reported having collected through the end of May.

The biggest chunk of Clinton’s fundraising came from Boston and surrounding communities, including Cambridge, Medford, Somerville, Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, Chelsea and Revere.
