ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - A judge has refused to change bond for an Aberdeen man accused of shooting another man.

The American News reports (https://bit.ly/2adyHOK ) that 23-year-old Abdirhman Ahmad Noor appeared in court Thursday but did not enter pleas to attempted murder and aggravated assault counts.

Prosecutor Chris White asked the judge to raise Noor’s bond from $50,000 to $100,000 cash or $250,000 cash or surety. Defense attorney Bill Gerdes asked for a personal recognizance bond, which would require no money. The judge kept bond at $50,000.

Noor is accused of shooting Dar’na Tansmore on July 8 and firing but missing at a second man. Authorities believe an altercation preceded the alleged shooting.

Tansmore is recovering at a Sioux Falls hospital.
