BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A 28-year-old Laurel man has pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide in the October shooting death of 25-year-old Clinton Old Bull.

KULR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2a3DpfG ) Garrett Lee Crandell entered his plea Thursday in District Court, where his $500,000 bail was maintained.

Court records say several people told police that Crandell went to an apartment to rob a female of money and drugs. Prosecutors believe Old Bull and Crandell might have gotten into a fight that led to the shooting death.

Police found Old Bull badly injured near a car in a parking lot outside the apartment building. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
