DARTMOUTH, Mass. (AP) - Police say two people have died in unrelated early morning accidents in Massachusetts.

State police say a New Bedford man died when he lost control of his car and it rolled over onto the guardrail on Interstate 195 east in Dartmouth at about 3:30 a.m. Friday. The victim was identified as 32-year-old Carlos Santiago.

A 22-year-old man identified as James Crockett, of Rockland, died in a collision between a tractor-trailer and a car on Harrison Boulevard in Avon just after 5 a.m. Friday.

The Enterprise of Brockton reports that the car crashed through the guardrail and into the woods.

Both accidents remain under investigation.

The Norfolk District Attorney’s office said criminal charges were unlikely in the Avon crash.
