NEW RINGGOLD, Pa. (AP) - Police in central Pennsylvania say a former scrap yard employee shot and killed a man working there, then drove a short distance and killed himself.

State police said the shooting occurred about 7:30 a.m. Friday in the parking lot at J.W. Zaprazny Inc. in New Ringgold, about 90 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

The homicide victim is 63-year-old Robert Eli Greene of Lehighton, who was shot several times with a handgun. The shooter was 46-year-old Scott Allen Baver of Orwigsburg.

Police say Baver drove away from the murder scene, got out of his vehicle at a tree farm several miles away and shot himself.

Two people witnessed the shooting at the scrap yard, which is also known as Joe’s Used Auto Parts. Police are also examining video from the scene.
