SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Salt Lake police had to evacuate the intensive care unit at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center while officers negotiated with a man who was barricaded inside a room.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/2ahm5sD ) that a 25-year-old man on Thursday barricaded himself in a room typically used for patients of families to meet in. He had come to the hospital seeking medical help, and hospital workers noted he seemed agitated and appeared to be high on drugs.

Patients in the ICU had to me moved to other parts of the hospital as a precaution while police talked to the man. He was ultimately taken into custody.

The man was treated for minor injuries. No one else was injured during the incident.
