WASHINGTON (AP) - Faith groups from across the spectrum are leading a rally on the Mall near the U.S. Capitol to denounce terrorism, hate and Violence.

The rally is scheduled Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. organizers had initially planned the rally earlier in the day but changed the time because of the oppressive heat expected during the day.

Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Sikh, Hindu and Bahai faith leaders are all expected to participate in the rally, which organizers say is a rejection of hateful rhetoric and incidents of mass violence and terrorism.

One of the Washington area’s largest mosques, the All Dulles Area Muslims Society Center in Sterling, is among those sponsoring the march.
