MONROETON, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say the boyfriend of woman whose decomposed body was found along a northeastern Pennsylvania streambank earlier the year has been charged in her slaying.

State police said 28-year-old Michael Houseweart was arrested Tuesday on a count of criminal homicide in the death of 32-year-old Michelle Inch of Montoursville.

Police in Bradford County said the victim’s body was found March 18 along Schrader Creek. An autopsy determined that she died of blood loss following gunshots.

Houseweart is awaiting trial on attempted homicide charges after police allege that he and another man broke into the home of Inch’s parents in January, bound them with duct tape and set the house on fire.

Court documents don’t list a defense attorney and a listed number for the defendant couldn’t be found Tuesday.
