MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say four people were arrested in Chambers County after being found with $420,000 worth of cocaine during a traffic stop.

A Chambers County sheriff’s deputy found the 14 kilograms of cocaine during a traffic stop. Federal prosecutors said one of the men stated he would be paid $1,100 for each kilogram he delivered to Atlanta.

A federal magistrate judge on Monday ordered the case sent to a grand jury. Roberto Anguiano, Deedre D. Diaz, Mario Verduzco and Angela P. Quach are being held without bond. All are from Laredo, Texas. Court records indicate they are being represented by appointed attorneys from the federal defenders’ office.

A conviction for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine carries a sentence ranging from 10 years to life in prison.
