HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - A Fairfield woman will go to prison for more than 14 years in prison for the shooting death of a woman at a 2013 Iron Bowl party.

Al.com (https://bit.ly/2aIlKLX ) reports that a Shelby County judge sentenced Adrian Laroze Briskey to 14 years and nine months in prison. Briskey pleaded guilty to reckless manslaughter. She was originally charged with murder.

Briskey was charged in the shooting death of 36-year-old Michelle Shepherd at an apartment in Hoover on Nov. 30, 2013.

The shooting happened during an argument at a party for the annual game between football rivals, Auburn University and the University of Alabama.

Shepherd was a mother of three and case worker for at risk youth and young parents.
