BOISE, Idaho (AP) - An Idaho judge has issued an arrest warrant for a woman accused of stealing from the estates of two people who died without wills or heirs.

The Idaho Statesman reports (https://bit.ly/2axxrsq ) that former Ada County employee Eleasha Jenkins and a second woman are accused of stealing more than $31,000 from one man’s estate and an undisclosed amount from another man’s. Prosecutors say the women forged a will to obtain assets from the second man.

Jenkins worked in the county treasurer’s office, which handles the estates of residents who die without a will or heirs.

Jenkins missed her preliminary hearing in June. Her public defender said Jenkins was unable to get a ride to Boise and asked the judge not to issue the warrant, but he denied the request.
