GIBBON, Neb. (AP) - A body found at the Bassway Strip Wildlife Management Area in Nebraska’s Buffalo County has been identified as that of an Iowa man.

The body was recovered from water after canoeists spotted it June 10. The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body was that of 40-year-old David Neal. An autopsy showed that he’d drowned.

Authorities say Neal had lived in Des Moines and Ames, Iowa.
