BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the possible shooting death of a horse.

Sgt. Mike MacDonald tells the Bismarck Tribune (https://bit.ly/2aL8CW7) that the horse was found dead July 17 in a pasture.

He says a veterinarian helping in the investigation believes the horse may have been shot about four days earlier. MacDonald says a neighbor saw the horse alive on July 13.
