CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - An 81-year-old Cheyenne man is dead after his motorcycle apparently pulled into the path of a pickup truck on Interstate 25 on the Wyoming-Colorado state line.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol tells KTWO-AM (https://bit.ly/2aKbZwP ) that 81-year-old Richard Weeks had stopped at the “Welcome to Colorado” sign Monday morning and was attempting to cross the interstate when he was struck by the pickup truck.

Weeks was wearing a helmet, but died at the scene.

The Colorado man driving the pickup and his three passengers were not injured.

The patrol says careless driving may be the cause of the crash.
