CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Investigators have determined that a man set a fire at an employee dormitory in Grand Teton National Park a year ago in an act of suicide.

The fire at Colter Bay last July killed 28-year-old Anthony Graviano and slightly injured four others.

Federal officials released an investigation report Wednesday in response to a records request submitted by The Associated Press.

The report says the Teton County Coroner’s Office ruled the manner of death suicide. The coroner’s office determined severe burns, smoke inhalation, carbon monoxide poisoning and alcohol intoxication contributed to Graviano’s death.

Graviano was alone in the dorm room. Investigators found a lighter on the floor and a can that contained a flammable liquid that spilled under a bed.

The fire displaced about 70 dorm residents.
