PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police have added a criminal homicide charge against a man already jailed on charges he shot a 6-year-old girl in the head while targeting several people on a porch.

Police added the charge Wednesday against 19-year-old Kamau Thomas Jr., who remained jailed without an attorney listed in court papers.

The girl who died, Isis Allen, was walking with an adult past a home when Thomas allegedly fired shots at the porch on July 17.

The girl was taken off life support three days later.

Thomas is also charged with attempted homicide, reckless endangerment and related offenses for allegedly targeting the others.

He now faces a preliminary hearing on all those charges Aug. 5.
