GUILFORD, Vt. (AP) - Vermont investigators are seeking the cause of an explosion that destroyed a house in the town of Guilford, temporarily trapping the owner.

Emergency crews were called just after 7 a.m. Wednesday to the home of 64-year-old Richard Holden.

When the crews arrived they found Holden trapped in the rubble. He was extricated in about an hour and taken to a hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the explosion is being investigated by the state police and the state Division of Fire Safety.
