DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will hold two events in Iowa on Thursday, the same day Hillary Clinton will accept the Democratic Party’s nomination.

Trump will hold a 4 p.m. event at the Adler Theater in Davenport and an 8 p.m. event at the Cedar Rapids Convention Complex. The earlier event is billed as a town hall meeting and the later stop is called a campaign rally.

It will be Trump’s first events in Iowa since he won the GOP nomination. His Iowa campaign is headed by Eric Branstad, the son of Gov. Terry Branstad.

Thursday night, Clinton will accept the Democratic nomination at her party’s convention in Philadelphia.

Trump and Clinton often visited Iowa before its first-in-the-nation caucuses. Both likely will return to the state this summer and fall.
