ROSEVILLE, Mich. (AP) - A 15-year-old suburban Detroit boy is being charged as an adult with assault with intent to commit murder in the stabbing of another teen during an argument.

Roseville police say the 15-year-old was arraigned Thursday and ordered held in a Macomb County juvenile detention facility on a $100,000 bond.

The 16-year-old victim from Eastpointe was in critical condition after undergoing surgery for a stab wound to his upper chest.

Police found him Monday night in a park after responding to reports of a large fight. About two dozen teens were in the area, but most fled when officers arrived.

Police say the victim confronted the 15-year-old about a rumor supposedly being spread about his girlfriend.

A preliminary examination is scheduled for Aug. 10.
