LINCOLN, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say three firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a blaze at pallet supply company outside Sacramento.

A spokesman for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection says the fire crews were injured Wednesday when a water hose ruptured, causing the hose to flip around and strike them.

The Sacramento Bee reports (https://bit.ly/2a24BzK ) Thursday that the fire broke out at 8 a.m. at Pallets Unlimited, sending a thick column of smoke into the air.

The blaze started in the pallets but quickly spread to the building. It was contained Wednesday afternoon.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
