DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) - Officials have identified a car dealership employee who died after being pinned between two vehicles on the company’s lot in Dearborn.

WDIV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2aNkW8r ) Thursday that the Wayne County medical examiner’s office said Jeffery Wallace died from blunt force injuries and mechanical asphyxia.

Police in Dearborn have said the Lincoln Park resident was partially out of a vehicle he was driving and between one that was parked when he was discovered about 7 a.m. Tuesday by co-workers. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Fairlane Ford President Julie Walker says Wallace worked at the dealership more than 20 years and was the detail manager.

She says he “made sure all of the cars were spotless when they were delivered to” clients.
