ELMIRA, N.Y. (AP) - Police say five people were injured, with one victim left in critical condition, after a man opened fire at a bar in New York’s Southern Tier.

The shooting occurred at 12:47 a.m. Thursday at Patrick’s Pub in Elmira. Police say no arrests have been made and they are still searching for the lone gunman.

Witnesses at the scene described a tall man wearing a dark shirt and a red hat shooting several shots through the door of the College Avenue establishment. There were approximately 50 people in the bar at the time.

Police say the shooting was in response to an earlier dispute between groups at the bar.
