FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) - A 21-year-old Iowa woman who caused a Christmas Day crash that killed a 6-year-old Webster City girl has pleaded guilty to three traffic violations.

The Fort Dodge Messenger says (https://bit.ly/2aAsn6q ) Ruth Tomlinson pleaded guilty Wednesday to driving on the wrong side of a highway, failure to maintain control and having no proof of insurance. She was ordered to pay more than $2,300 in fines and court costs.

The crash happened just north of Duncombe. Investigators say Tomlinson crossed the center line and hit an oncoming pickup, fatally injuring Payton Henry. The other members of the girl’s family, including an infant and a 3-year-old, all suffered serious injuries.

Prosecutors say there was not enough evidence to charge Tomlinson with vehicular homicide. Tomlinson said Wednesday she remembers nothing of the crash.
