ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - A Colorado Springs man has been accused of pointing a gun at others and taking a man hostage at a camping area in Independence Pass.

The Aspen Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/2a6VcCy ) that the man faces a felony charge of first-degree kidnapping and a misdemeanor count of prohibited use of a weapon after the incident on Wednesday.

Police say the man was holding another man hostage near two vehicles about 11 miles east of Aspen. The hostage was able to run away from the scene and officers arrested the suspect.
