GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a passenger was slightly injured by shattered glass when the car he was in was struck by a shot from a pellet gun on an Orange County freeway.

The car’s driver, Coni Rayo, tells City News Service she was just about to exit State Route 22 in Garden Grove late Wednesday when the front passenger window shattered.

The injured man was treated at the scene for minor cuts to his face but not hospitalized.

The California Highway Patrol and Garden Grove police are investigating.
