LEBANON, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania woman has been sentenced to six to 15 years in prison after admitting to her role in a fatal heroin overdose.

The Lebanon Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/2acfxb0 ) the judge accepted a plea deal Wednesday for Shannon Miller of Newmanstown.

She pleaded guilty to charges including felony drug delivery resulting in death and delivery of heroin stemming from the May 2015 death of Michael Young Jr.

An autopsy determined Young died of mixed substance toxicity.

Andrew Houck has also been convicted in Young’s death. His sentencing is scheduled for mid-August.

Houck told authorities he gave heroin to Young and Miller and they injected it together.

Miller said she bought the heroin using Houck’s money.

Miller’s defense attorney says she’s taken advantage of drug and alcohol treatment.
